Magazines Dead or Alive?

As I look at the stack of magazines I just read while on vacation I can't help but wonder will they be around in ten years? With a household of three girls and endless honey do lists, I very much appreciate the times I can just pick up a book and read. There's something very nostalgic about the occasional magazine read or even getting to read the Sunday newspaper with that great cup of coffee. I hope print is around for a while, well at least until I can use to the idea of the ever growing digital books.

Pepper Place Farmers Market

Above are a few locally made products that we have branded for the local Pepper Place Farmers Market here in Birmingham. As we get closer to opening the 10 2 4 General Store, G will offer local farmers and other foodies the option of branding their individual products to help them market and begin what hopefully turns into distribution. So many locally made products never make it past the state line and as the General Store opens so will the use of a comercial kitchen. We are excited to be a part of the Farmers Market branding efforts so stay tuned to see what else is to come.

Antique Packaging

I found this design amoung others while shopping at Pike Place Market in Seattle last weekend. There's such honesty and transparency in antique labels and packages. I love the simple use of color and ornamental elements that quickly communicate the esssence of design.
